Montgomery County COVID-19 Update for February 10, 2021

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX - Montgomery County Public Health District, in conjunction with the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, would like to remind you - a county wide waiting list for the COVID-19 vaccine is available.

People eligible for the vaccine, in Phase 1A or 1B, can sign up here: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/2826db87c9124a0fa5f89ce121d7503c?portalUrl=https://MOCO.maps.arcgis.com. If you are 65 years of age or older and do not have internet access, you can join the vaccine wait list by calling 936-523-3918. Eligible people on the wait list will be contacted to schedule an appointment when vaccines are available through participating providers.

Individual hospitals, physicians’ offices and pharmacies may also have vaccines available to eligible populations. Please check their websites for additional information. You can find a list of providers and additional information on the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) website here: https://www.dshs.state.tx.us/coronavirus/immunize/vaccine-hubs.aspx.

Today, we can confirm an additional death related to COVID-19.

• A man in his 70s, from Magnolia, died in the hospital. He had co-morbidities in addition to testing positive for COVID-19.

We can also confirm:

• TOTAL cases of COVID-19 increased by 216 to 42,477 since yesterday’s (2/9) report. Of the 216 new cases, 209 were tested since 1/28/2021.
• ACTIVE cases of COVID-19 increased by 103 to 5,280 since yesterday’s (2/9) report.
• 81 county residents are known, as a result of contact investigations, to be in the hospital. Contact investigations have not been initiated on all reported cases.
• 19,965 people have clinically recovered.

The Testing Positivity Rate for Montgomery County has decreased to 15%, down from 17%. This number is updated weekly on Wednesdays.
