MCTXSheriff Deputy Takes Drugs off the Street

THE WOODLANDS, TX - On March 28, 2021, a Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputy initiated a traffic stop for speeding at the Dairy Queen located at 2300 Buckthorne Place in The Woodlands, Texas. As the Deputy approached the driver, he smelled the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. When the Deputy attempted to detain the driver, the driver ran away on foot. After a short chase, the Deputy caught up to the driver and was able to detain him. An inventory of the driver’s vehicle revealed a large quantity of narcotics and two loaded handguns. Approximately 10 pounds of marijuana and a large quantity of THC wax along with other illegal items were seized. Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team Detectives responded to the scene and assisted with processing the evidence. The suspect, Lorenzo Palacious (22-years-old) was arrested on multiple felony drug charges and transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
