UPDATE: Due to a COVID exposure, we are postponing the Spring Fling Market to June. The person who has been exposed is quarantining. We are in the process of reaching out to all our vendors, and we'll let you know the new date soon.

THE WOODLANDS, TX - Spring is the air and Milstead Automotive and Milstead Collision are celebrating with an outdoor Spring Fling Market.

'We are excited to have another event,' Milstead President Amy Milstead said. 'These events are a great way to raise money and awareness for different non-profits in the community, and YES to YOUTH does amazing work with teens in our area.'

All the proceeds from the event will go to YES to YOUTH Montgomery County. YES to YOUTH is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides emergency shelter and counseling services to at-risk children and teens. The organization offers crisis intervention and suicide prevention for youth and families and provides all services at no cost to clients.
'YES to YOUTH strengthens the mental and emotional health of our children in Montgomery County,' Donor Development Manager Mitzi Pearson said. 'We are saving the lives of youth each and every day. They come to us for counseling, care, and compassion, often from a crisis situation.'

The Spring Fling Market will have activities and games for kids, and families are welcome to join. Local businesses and vendors will also be setting up booths and selling their products. From dog treats to delicious cookies and cakes, from beautiful jewelry to home décor.

'There will be something for everyone,' Marketing Coordinator Caitlin Wills said. 'Not only is it benefitting YES to YOUTH, but local businesses are going to come out and spread the word about their products and services too.'

At the market, guests will also have a chance to win raffle prizes, and Milstead will be serving food. All the proceeds from the raffle and food sales will also go to YES to YOUTH.

'Everyone here at Milstead is really looking forward to this event,' Milstead General Manager Jeff Collins said. 'It'll be a fun event for a great cause.'

There are many ways to get involved with the work that YES to YOUTH is doing to help children and teens. Tutoring or teaching a cooking class at the BridgeWay Shelter, sponsoring a bowling night or hosting an outdoor workday to help maintain the shelter are just a few ways to volunteer. “Our volunteers are the heart of what we do,' YES to YOUTH CEO Dannette Suding said. 'YES to YOUTH volunteers make a huge impact on the youth in our community. Our volunteers are passionate about our mission--saving the lives of youth and strengthening families through counseling services and shelter programs.'
