MCTX Sheriff Arrest Two Juveniles from Shooting Incident

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As a result of this investigation by Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide and Violent Crime Unit, two 16-year old local juvenile males were arrested and charged. One male was charged with Assault and the other male was charged with Deadly Conduct. Both juvenile males were transported to Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.

On September 14, 2021, at about 6:10 PM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a Shots Fired call in the 100 block of W. Coldbrook Circle in The Woodlands, Texas. During the investigation, it was learned a group of juvenile and or young adult males were involved in a physical altercation that led to a handgun being fired on several occasions. No one was injured due to the gunfire; however, a male was injured as a result of the physical altercation.

Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to assist with the investigation. During the investigation, it was determined this was not a random act of violence and the males involved in the incident were familiar with each other and are from area schools in south Montgomery County. This is an active investigation and there are no further details at this time nor is there any threat to the public.
