THE WOODLANDS, TX – With fingers crossed, it may be that the beads of water on your brow this weekend might not just be from sweating; we actually have the possibility of some precipitation in the forecast this weekend!

The GOOD news is, we shouldn't break 100 degrees all weekend

We’ve had some cloud cover today that’s already going away – along with some winds – that will keep our high in the mid 90s; the difference between 96 and 102 may not sound like much, but at these levels every degree counts. We might even see some scattered thunderstorms over the next couple of hours. The heat combined with the humidity might make this a perfect change to catch an indoor show like ‘60s band The Association playing at Dosey Doe - The Big Barn.

Overnight, the clouds will hang around as the winds keep dropping down to next to nothing. Those same winds, however, will start kicking back in throughout the morning as we head to another day of a 96 degree high. Again with fingers crossed, our lawns might – just might – enjoy some isolated thunderstorms and get some much-needed rain. Maybe you can feel the heat in indoor, air-conditioned comfort at the Demo Days at Spring Guns & Ammo. Much like tonight, the low on Saturday night will be 76.

Sunday we’ll return to mostly sunny skies – a few clouds but no precipitation in the forecast. Amazingly, we’ll keep in the 90s (admittedly, 99) for the high, giving us a few days’ relief from hundred-plus temps. Winds reaching up to 10 miles per hour will make it perfect kite-flying weather… and as the sun starts to set, you can get maximum enjoyment at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion and the REO Speedwagon / Styx / Loverboy concert.

Unfortunately, the work week ahead threatens to once again break that century mark, temperature wise…

Stay tuned for weather updates from Woodlands Online, and be sure to check us out on Monday for our “Week Ahead” forecast.
