2022 Community Peacebuilding Awards

THE WOODLANDS,TX -- Do you know a worthy individual or organization who is helping to spread peace in this community? If so, nominate them to become a Peacebuilding Community Champion through the 2022 Peacebuilding Community Awards Program.

Elaine Roberts, Executive Director of the Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) explained “each October the DRC-MC and the Association for Conflict Resolution Houston (ACRH) Peer Mediation Team sponsor the Peacebuilding Community Awards Program during Conflict Resolution month. These awards spotlight a few of the many wonderful peacebuilding programs and activities going on in Harris and Montgomery counties. In 2021, we were pleased to recognize Corinne Coulter (Community Member Award) and the Counseling Center of Montgomery County (Organization Award) as Peacebuilding Community Champions.”

Criteria for the 2022 Community Peacebuilding Awards can be found at https://resolution-center.org/peacebuilding-community-awards/. Winners will be announced on Conflict Resolution Day, Thursday, October 20, 2022. The four nomination categories are: (1) K-12 Grade Nominee (for student peacemakers); (2) New Generation Nominee (18-25 years old); (3) Community Member or Volunteer Nominee; or (4) Organization Nominee.

The Association for Conflict Resolution - Houston (ACRH) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting ADR and conflict management, supporting and developing ADR professionals, and committed to the practice and understanding of peaceful conflict resolution at all ages. The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc.
