Coach Matthew Wilson: The Dragons had a great outing this weekend, defeating St. John’s in our first SPC competition. The Dunlap Gym was rocking! Special thanks to all the students that came out to support our players and the parents whose work behind the scenes made that happen. I’m proud of the boys’ effort, and we hope to build on the momentum with three more games this week.

Coach Sara Bany:

Highlights of the day for the girls team:

Malia Davis - 4th place 200 Freestyle

Monica Ianeva -2nd place 200 IM

Girls 100 Breast - Monica 2nd, Laney Shea 8th

Freshman Zach Sheirr was the only boy who swam for Cooper. Not only did he score points in both the 100 Fly and 500 Free he filled in for a missing swimmer on the Houston Christian Swim Team, allowing them to swim the 200 Medley Relay and the 200 Free Relay. They were not able to score points with a swimmer from a different team, but Zach stepped up and allowed them to swim their relays. What a great example of sportsmanship from Zach this weekend!
