SPRING, TX -- Race #1 in the Annual YMCA Summer Triathlon Series for Kids and Teens, Presented by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands was held on May 18 at the Holcomb Family YMCA located at 5201 Imperial Promenade, The Falls of Imperial Oaks. For more than 20 years, The Woodlands Family YMCA has hosted the Annual Kids Triathlon. Due to the popularity of this race and the opening of the new Aquatic Center at the Holcomb Family YMCA in South Montgomery County, the event is now a summer triathlon series providing youth additional opportunities to experience the exciting sport of triathlon.

Swim+Bike+Run = FUN! Triathlons are an exciting sport for children because it involves three activities that every child enjoys – swimming, cycling and running. Race #2 in the series will be held on July 20 at The Woodlands Family YMCA at Branch Crossing, 8100 Ashlane Way in The Woodlands. The 21st Annual YMCA Kids Triathlon Presented by Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands is for Ages 6 – 13. This race traditionally sells out so register early.
