THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Woodlands Arts Council is reminding young artists and their parents throughout the Township that the deadline to submit applications for the council's annual scholarship program is rapidly approaching.

"Student Art Scholarships have been foundational to The Woodlands Arts Council's impact, and we are excited to mark this moment on the journey with plans to award one exceptional student a $20,000 scholarship in 2025 – in addition to the planned $40,000 awarded annually," said council executive director Jenny Carattini-Wright.

Graduating high school seniors in The Woodlands and Montgomery County are invited to submit a portfolio – 3 pieces – of visual or literary works of art in the following categories: 2D, 3D, Short Fiction, Short Nonfiction, and Poetry. The application window closes Friday, January 3, 2025. The council is only taking the first 40 submitted applicants for interviews.
