Gang Member Arrested During Armed Robbery at Sawdust Road Wendy's

SPRING, TX -- On January 24, 2025, at about 5:15 p.m., deputies from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office District 2 Patrol were dispatched to the Wendy's restaurant on Sawdust Road in response to a report of a Robbery in progress. The deputies quickly arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspect, who was still in the act of committing the robbery.

Nicholas Xavier Rivas was arrested and taken to the Montgomery County Jail, where he is charged with felony robbery and is being held on a $75,000 bond. Rivas is a documented gang member from Houston, Texas.

The swift actions of these deputies send a clear message to gang members who believe they can come to Montgomery County and commit violent crimes: such lawlessness will not be tolerated. Those who engage in criminal activity will be arrested and prosecuted, and justice will be served
