San Jacinto River Authority provides operational update on conditions
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The San Jacinto River Authority, one of the major authorities in Texas whose jurisdiction includes The Woodlands, has provided an operation update on Lake Conroe and the weather conditions impacting it.
As of 9:00 a.m. this morning, the current level of Lake Conroe is 200.53 feet above mean sea level (msl). Normal conservation lake level is 201 feet above mean sea level. There are no outflows at this time.
SJRA begins preparing 120 hours in advance of inclement weather by checking equipment, software, and generators. The authority continues to monitor lake conditions, the forecast, and coordinate with local and state partners including the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management and the National Weather Service. Staff remain on heightened alert and ready to respond as conditions change.
