Montgomery County Food Bank announces Shootout Hunger 2026 taking place Sept. 18
THE WOODLANDS, TX – The Montgomery County Food Bank has announced that registration is currently open for its annual fundraising sporting clay tournament that helps feed neighbors facing hunger in Montgomery County. Shootout Hunger 2026, presented by Cowboy Kia, will take place at Blackwood Sporting Club on Friday, September 18.
This year will see a 72-clay-target shoot. Teams of four will take on the course together; seasoned shooters and first-timers are both welcome. All participants are responsible for bringing their own gun and safety glasses. Montgomery County Food Bank will provide ear plugs, 12 gauge ammo, a golf cart per four-shooter team, breakfast, and lunch. After the tournament, enjoy a BBQ lunch, complimentary gun cleaning, awards, and more.
All proceeds raised at Shootout Hunger will go directly to feeding Montgomery County families, children, seniors, and veterans facing hunger. More than 120,000 neighbors across the county are food insecure, and the registration fees for this event and others become much-needed groceries on the table.
Registration on the day of the event opens along with breakfast at 7:30 a.m. After welcoming remarks and a safety briefing at 8:45 a.m., the tournament begins with a bang at 9:00, with the post-shooting celebration and lunch taking place at 12:30 p.m.
