HTX Soccer Brings Fun & Community Spirit to Houston Outreach Events!

This past week, HTX Soccer proudly participated in several community outreach events across the Greater Houston area, spreading soccer fun and fall cheer to local families!
📍Fulshear (Scarecrow Festival)
📍Kingwood - Riverwood Middle School
📍South (Gilmore Elementary - Trunk or Treat)
📍Woodforest - Trail of Treats
📍Tomball & Cypress (Grand Oaks Elementary - Trunk or Treat; West Hallowfest)
Some events even featured a special appearance by the club’s beloved mascot, HT-Rex, who was a big hit with attendees of all ages. With Halloween and fall festivities in full swing, many guests arrived in costume, adding extra color and excitement to the celebrations.
More than 2,000 people joined in the fun, enjoying face painting, food trucks, live music, games, dancing, photo ops, competitions, and awards, all made possible by our amazing HTX Soccer staff and volunteers. The club also shared information about our youth programs, leagues, and community involvement opportunities, highlighting our commitment to growing the game and supporting local families both on and off the field.
HTX Soccer extends a huge thank you to all the schools, families, and volunteers who made these events such a success. We’re excited to keep engaging with our community and providing quality soccer opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

RECREATIONAL SOCCER INFORMATION
“It was awesome seeing so many Fulshear families come out and have a great time with us,” said Ivan Ruddle, West Community Outreach Director. “From the creative costumes to all the excitement around HT-Rex, it really showed the amazing community spirit we have here in Fulshear. We love being part of it and bringing more soccer opportunities to local kids.”
“In Tomball and Cypress, we’re passionate about giving back and creating opportunities for our community to come together. Supporting local residents and providing fun, meaningful experiences is at the heart of what we do," said Diego Copa, Tomball & Cypress Director.
“We’re thrilled to be part of the Gilmore Elementary Trunk or Treat event, it’s all about bringing the community together for some fun, safe Halloween activities. Supporting our local families, giving kids a great time, and finding ways to give back are what community spirit is all about,” said David DeVerteuil, South Director of Operations.
“Our Halloween event in Woodforest was an absolute blast for the entire community! It was amazing to see families come together, kids in creative costumes enjoying all the activities, and everyone embracing the festive spirit," said Trey Tesno, Woodforest Recreational Director. "The HT-Rex appearance was definitely a crowd favorite and added an extra layer of excitement to an already fun-filled evening. We’re so grateful to everyone who came out and helped make it such a memorable celebration.”
“This past Wednesday, the club had the amazing opportunity to visit Riverwood Middle School, where our coaches took over the PE classes and shared the love of the game with more than 500 students," said Michiel van de Heijning, East Boys Director. "With over 120 students per group, our coaches brought great energy, teaching new tricks, running fun soccer exercises, and helping students experience the excitement of scoring goals. A huge thank you to Mr. Roser and Coach Miguel Carlos for welcoming us and letting HTX take over the PE classes for the day.”
