Current Conditions:

  • Current level of Lake Conroe is 201.19 feet above mean sea level (msl).
  • Current lake outflow is 529 cubic feet per second. Normal conservation lake level is 201 feet above msl. Outflows will continue as rain moves through the area to maintain lake level and gate operations.
  • Monitor real-time information on Lake Conroe at www.sjra.net.

SJRA begins preparing 120 hours in advance of inclement weather by checking equipment, software, and generators.

SJRA continues to monitor lake conditions, the forecast, and coordinate with local and state partners in including City of Houston, Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and the National Weather Service. Staff remain on heightened alert and ready to respond as conditions change.

To stay prepared during storm events, make sure to follow National Weather Service Houston, your local Office of Emergency Management, and your local weather stations.

One of the major river authorities in Texas, SJRA's mission is to develop, conserve, and protect the water resources of the San Jacinto River basin. Covering all or part of seven counties, the organization’s jurisdiction includes the entire San Jacinto River watershed, excluding Harris County.
