Cooper's Raybon selected for Touchdown Club Team

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Emerson Raybon, a rising senior at The John Cooper School, was selected for the Houston Touchdown Club's Private High School All-Greater Houston Preseason Team. A linebacker and running back, Raybon was selected by a panel of area private high school coaches based on athletic talent.

Congratulations to Emerson Raybon on being named to the Houston Touchdown Club Private High School All-Greater Houston Preseason Team.

Raybon is a three-year starter and three-year letterman on the Dragon football team. He holds school records in rushing attempts and rushing yards and he is the team leader in tackles and sacks, earning him team MVP honors in 2015.

Raybon joins 45 honorees from 23 area private schools who will be honored at the Preseason Private High School Kickoff Dinner on August 24 presented by the Hildebrand Foundation at the JW Marriott in Houston.

"Congratulations to Emerson Raybon on being named to the Houston Touchdown Club Private High School All-Greater Houston Preseason Team. He represents The John Cooper School very well in the classroom, the community, and on the football and baseball fields. I look forward to him leading us into the SPC 3A division in football," said Brent Landrum, head football coach for the Dragons. "It is great to see fine young men like Emerson Raybon be honored for their hard work, skill and dedication to their sport."

The Touchdown Club of Houston is an organization dedicated to the sharing of fellowship through football. The organization supports football teams at all levels and in different geographic areas.
