Interfaith of The Woodlands announces 2018 chairman, board of directors

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- Interfaith of The Woodlands and Interfaith Community Clinic recently announced Rob Johnson, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Peter Huntsman, Chairman, Board of Advisors for 2018. Both long-time residents of The Woodlands, Mr. Johnson is the Assistant General Counsel of Exxon Mobil Corporation and Mr. Hunstman is President and CEO of Huntsman Corporation.

Chairman Johnson recently announced the appointment of five new members to the Board of Directors including Senior clergy from two of Interfaith’s 63 member congregations. New Directors include: Pastor Gary Heath, Senior Pastor of Lord Life Lutheran; Dr. David Jones, Senior Pastor at The Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church; Todd Durkee, Vice-President of Deepwater Drilling and Completions at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation; William H. Murphy, Jr., Senior Vice-President of Investments and Senior Financial Wealth Advisor at Wells Fargo; and Dave Wagnon, Chief Financial Officer at Alteon Health.

“We are excited to welcome our new Board Members. Each of them brings a proven record of professional and personal accomplishments and a strong commitment to community service,” said Rob Johnson. “They will be outstanding supporters and ambassadors for Interfaith in our community.”

These individuals were selected for their long standing commitment to serving our community and were voted in at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors. Additionally, the Board and Interfaith Member Congregations paid tribute and shared its gratitude to Dr. Debra Sukin, 2017 Board Chair, for her eight years of outstanding service and leadership to Interfaith and Interfaith Community Clinic. Dr. Sukin will continue to serve as Ex-Officio to the Board of Directors and serve on the Interfaith Community Clinic Advisory Board. Two new members were also appointed to Interfaith Board of Advisors, 2016 Board Chair Ray Sanders and Dr. Ann K. Snyder. A special thanks was shared with outgoing Board members: David Argueta, Pastor Dr. Roche Coleman, Dr. Charles Hankins and Pastor Frankie Mazzapica.

These past, present and future leaders who have chosen to serve, personify this 44 year old vision.
