Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Investigating Attempted Murder/Suicide

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On January 15, 2020, at about 2:00 am, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to an assault with a firearm call in the 23000 block of Sorters Road in Porter, Texas. Upon arrival, a female later identified as Ester Nicholson (59-year-old, white female), was found in the master bedroom with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital where she remains in critical condition. A male, later identified as Kevin Golden (47-year-old, white male) was found deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Ms. Nicholson and Mr. Golden were in a long-term relationship. At this time, Detectives believe this was an attempted murder/suicide.
