Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Issues Warrant of Spring Man in Murder Investigation

SPRING, TX - On July 3, 2020, at about 3:30 AM, the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable's Office was dispatched to the 32400 block of Hunter Park in the Imperial Oaks Subdivision Spring, Texas in reference to a shooting. Upon their arrival, they found Cameron Cook, a 19 year-old white male, deceased from a single gunshot wound to the head. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Homicide-Violent Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Investigators were contacted to assist in the investigation. While conducting interviews, witnesses in the residence stated that Cameron’s cousin, Eryn Cook, a 21-year-old white male, was the suspect and that he had fled the scene prior to police arriving. A warrant was issued for Murder and Eryn was arrested on July 5, 2020. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail with a $500,000 bond. The circumstances surrounding the shooting are currently being investigated and no other information is available at this time.
