Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Investigates Shooting in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TX - On September 1, 2020, at about 10:30 PM, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Communications received a 911 call of a shooting located in the 10200 block of Pecan Hollow Road, Magnolia, Texas. The caller informed 911 her ex-boyfriend had entered the residence, assaulted her, and shot her current boyfriend multiple times. When Deputies arrived, they entered the residence and located the suspect, 50-year-old Shawn Cochran in a bedroom, deceased with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The boyfriend, a 43-year-old white male, was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide/Violent Crimes Detectives arrived and took over the investigation. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this incident.
