MCTX Sheriff Searching for Home Invasion Suspects In Porter, TX

PORTER, TX --UPDATE: On Sunday, September 5, 2021, at about 1:45 PM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was
dispatched to a report of a home invasion in progress in the 20900 block of Kransburg Ridge Drive in Porter, Texas. Arriving Deputies learned the suspects left the home and ran into a wooded area near Northpark Drive. Law Enforcement set up a perimeter and deployed multiple Sheriff’s Office K-9 units and a drone to help with the foot search. A Houston Police Department helicopter unit also assisted with the search. Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide
and Violent Crimes Unit responded.

After an extensive search, the suspects were not found and believed to have left the area. During the investigation, it was determined two black males, who were impersonating police officers, forced their way into a home while displaying a handgun at the homeowners. The suspects fled the scene after being confronted by the residents' dogs. The residents were unharmed during the incident.

The suspects are described as two black males wearing dark colored apparel with the word “POLICE” on the front and back. One male is about 5’10”, weighing 155-160 LBS and the second male is about 6’0”, weighing 185-200 LBS.

The circumstances surrounding the home invasion are still being investigated and there are no further details at this time.

Law enforcement is in the area of the Oakhurst Subdivision in Porter, TX searching for two armed suspects who attempted a home invasion and fled. Suspects were wearing apparel with the word 'POLICE'. Suspects are described as black males wearing dark colored clothing. Suspects are 5’10, 155-160 lbs and 6’0, 185-200 lbs.

Remain indoors and report any suspicious activity to 911. Do not open the door unless a uniformed deputy is present.
