Solid waste services in The Woodlands not impacted by hurricane

THE WOODLANDS, TX -- As Hurricane Nicholas moved into the area, Township officials monitored the storm through the night and into the morning. There was no damage to Township properties.

There were a few downed power lines and limbs. Officials urge caution when around both. Rainfall amounts were generally 2 to 2.5 inches in The Woodlands. There were no significant events overnight within The Woodlands.

The bulk of the rain has moved off to the east, and Township facilities are open for business.

Regular waste collection services are expected to continue normal schedule today in The Woodlands. Waste Management intends to run regular routes with no anticipated cancellations due to Hurricane Nicholas.

Please place your carts at the curb if it is your regular service day. For a trouble-free pick-up, please make sure that lids on carts close completely and follow service guidelines as outlined on the Township website at www.thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov/trashandrecycling.

The Woodlands Express bus service has been suspended for today, Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021. Regular service will resume tomorrow, Wednesday September 15, 2021.

Town Center Trolleys are operating regular service today.
