THE WOODLANDS, TX – According to a release by the Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and posted on social media by County Judge Mark Keough, the local flood watch has been discontinued.

As of 6 a.m. the flood watch has been discontinued as the threat of additional heavy rain fall today has ended.

The San Jacinto River Authority is currently releasing storm water from Lake Conroe Dam. The current lake level is 204.18 with full pool at 201.00. The current release is 19,435 cfs.

Please avoid high water areas and roadways with high water. Do not go around barricades.

The number of roadways with high water and barricades is too numerous to list individually. So please heed the warnings to avoid them if you encounter them.

We expect the San Jacinto River to crest this afternoon at I-45 in Major Flood Stage. Anyone along the river should be paying attention and be prepared to head to higher ground. There is no evacuation orders in place at this time.
