THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Students from College Park High School’s award-winning robotics teams, FRC 1477 (Texas Torque) and FRC 7492 (Turbo Torque), collected and donated 21 bedding sets and 21 pillow sets to benefit Angel Reach, a nonprofit based in Conroe, Texas, during their recent Remix Robotics Off-Season Competition.

The Remix, hosted at College Park High School, brought together more than 40 robotics teams from across Texas and Mexico. In addition to the spirited competition, the students dedicated themselves to community impact by organizing a bedding drive for Angel Reach.

Angel Reach is a nonprofit organization that supports youth aging out of the foster care system and homeless young adults. Every young person who enters Angel Reach’s housing program receives their own bedding and pillow set. When they transition to living independently, they take those items with them, helping them establish a sense of stability and belonging in their new home.

“What a blessing! What a surprise! Huge shoutout to the College Park HS Robotics Team for going above and beyond in collecting bedding and pillows for our youth in housing!” shared Bonnie Atkinson of the Angel Reach team. “This wonderful collection is such a gift for our youth – thanks for helping make our youth feel at home!”

The Torque robotics teams continue to demonstrate their commitment both on and off the competition field—building not only robots, but also stronger communities.
