CONROE, TX -- Angel Reach, the Montgomery County nonprofit focused on meeting the needs of youth who have aged out of the foster care system and those at risk of homelessness, held its First Annual Clay Shoot October 1, 2026, bringing together community members, business leaders, sponsors, and supporters to raise awareness and financial support. Held at the Blackwood Sporting Company, the event raised over $65,000 to support Angel Reach’s programs and services for young adults in crisis who are working toward independent, successful lives.

“The youth who come to Angel Reach are looking for help building a different future and an opportunity to start a new life”, said Daniel Alexander, CEO & Executive Director of Angel Reach. “We are incredibly grateful to Gracepoint Homes, our presenting sponsor as well as everyone who sponsored, participated, and helped make this event possible. Their generosity allows us to provide young people with the resources and support they need to successfully transition to adulthood.”

Shoot participants enjoyed a day of clay shooting, camaraderie, lunch provided by McKenzie’s Barbeque, raffles and a Bourbon pull. The event also provided an opportunity for supporters to learn more about Angel Reach’s mission and the impact of investing in these youth who are most at risk of homelessness. Funds raised are targeted to critical support areas such as housing, counseling, case management, education and employment coaching, transportation, and life-skills.

“We know that a successful transition to adulthood doesn’t happen alone,” said Alexander. “It takes a village, and our community is that village making it possible for young people to move beyond surviving to thriving, with the potential to live stable, independent futures.”
