You Have to Ask to Receive
Dear friend,
Last year, we didn't win Best of The Woodlands when we normally do. And if we're being honest… it wasn't because we weren't worthy.
It's because we didn't ask.
We've always been the type to keep our heads down, do the work, serve well, and trust that if we love people deeply enough, it will ripple. And it has.
But at the same time, if you don't ask, you don't receive.
So this year, we're asking.
Blissful Waters started with two float tanks and a vision that felt bigger than what most people understood at the time. Melody had floated in Austin and experienced how powerful it was — how silence could reorganize your nervous system in a way nothing else could. But driving to Houston, fighting traffic, and coming home more stressed than before made one thing clear:
The Woodlands needed this.
Not on a busy main road. Not somewhere you rush past. Somewhere tucked into the trees. Somewhere intentional. Somewhere you arrive at.
That vision became Blissful Waters.
There were setbacks — contractors that cost us nearly $260,000 in losses. Opening with fewer tanks than planned. Navigating COVID. Cancelled memberships. Hard conversations. Learning filtration science and ozone systems so we could stay open safely when others couldn't.
But every single lesson refined the vision.
And here we are — 8 years later.
We are asking for your vote. Not because we need a trophy.
Not because we want validation. But because asking matters.
And maybe this is your reminder too: ask for the raise, ask for support, ask for help, ask for the dream. Sometimes the only difference between “almost” and “achieved” is the courage to ask.
If Blissful Waters has impacted you in any way, helped you regulate, rest, reset, or reconnect. Would you take a moment to vote for us?
Your vote supports a small, locally owned business.
It supports our team.
And it reminds us that asking isn't selfish.
It's powerful.
