A New Chapter in Young Women’s Cancer Survivorship

Linkedin

Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center is creating a new space for connection and support among young women cancer survivors.

Earlier this year, Canopy launched a new program specifically for women under 45 who have been impacted by cancer. We recognize that younger survivors can face unique challenges, from navigating life after treatment to relationships, careers, family, identity, and finding a community that truly understands their experience.

Through this program, young women have the opportunity to connect, share, create, and support one another beyond treatment. Recent gatherings have demonstrated the incredible power of bringing survivors together and creating a space where they can feel seen, understood, and supported.

At a recent Young Women Survivors gathering, participants came together for a creative healing experience, combining art, conversation, and connection.

A special thank-you to volunteer Healing Art Director Olimpia Petzold and Young Survivors Group Leader Jodie Tonn for helping bring this vision to life and creating meaningful opportunities for young women to connect through survivorship.

Because survivorship is not one-size-fits-all, and neither should survivorship support be.
