TOMBALL, Texas – It was déjà vu all over again for four Oak Ridge/Woodlands Area Little League (ORWALL) All-Star teams on Thursday in District 28 Tournaments.
ORWALL to host four tournaments next week

ORWALL National and ORWALL American All-Star teams faced off against each other for a second time in both the 9-10 year-old and the 11-13 Intermediate district tournaments. One run separated each heart stopping game.

After defeating ORWALL National 13-11 in their first meeting of the District 28 Intermediate (11-13) Tournament, ORWALL American survived again, 13-12, on Thursday to advance to face Montgomery in the finals at 7 p.m. Friday.

ORWALL American, which dropped a 6-5 nail-biter to Montgomery in the semifinals, must defeat them twice to win the double-elimination tournament. A win on Friday forces a deciding game, which would be played at 7 p.m. Saturday.

It’s the same story for ORWALL American 9-10 All-Stars, who exacted revenge Thursday on ORWALL National with an 18-17 win. ORWALL American was on the short end of a 13-3 score the first time the two teams played in the District 28 Tournament opener.

ORWALL American takes on Tomball at 7 p.m. Friday in the double-elimination tournament. They must win that game to force a deciding game, which would be played at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Beginning Monday, June 24, ORWALL will host four District 28 All-Star Tournaments. Starting with the 10-11 all-stars and Senior all-stars on Monday, ORWALL also hosts the Majors and Juniors District 28 All-Star Tournaments beginning Tuesday, June 25.

At 7 p.m. Monday, ORWALL National takes on Northwest 45 while ORWALL American meets Montgomery in the 10-11 district tournament. At the same time, ORWALL faces Tomball in the Seniors district tournament.

Tuesday tournament openers find ORWALL American battling Northwest 45 at 7 p.m. in the Majors district tournament. The winner goes up against ORWALL National at 7 p.m. Thursday in the three-team, double-elimination tournament.

ORWALL National goes up against Montgomery at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the three-team, double-elimination Juniors district tournament. The winner gets Northwest 45 at 7 p.m. Thursday.
