THE WOODLANDS, Texas – A recent upscale event was so packed with entertainment and fine dining that it took not one but two luxury-related business owners to host it. Bob Milner, co-owner and general manager of Mercedes-Benz of The Woodlands, and Mark Seavers, president of Seavers Landscape, co-hosted the Chef Showcase at The Club at Carlton Woods.

At the event, 90 guests sampled the “Old New Orleans” culinary creations of the new Carlton Woods executive chef John Barrios. Signature dishes included shrimp and grits, blackened prime rib, venison and duck breast. The event also featured music provided by the Marvin Gaspard Jazz Combo, as well as up-close-and-personal illusions by magician Ben Jackson.

All of the proceeds from the event benefited Meals on Wheels Montgomery County. $8,680 was raised, which, according to MOW director Allison Huett, will provide 1,736 meals to those in need.
