Local plumbing company rooting for a win at upcoming Small Business Awards banquet

THE WOODLANDS, Texas -- The Lone Star College Small Business Development Center has announced its finalists for Small Business of the Year.

Among the top three is Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Montgomery County.

"We are honored to be nominated," said Executive Vice President Natalie Saikowski Goertz. "It is a very prestigious award."

Goertz said this is their third year to be in the top three. She hopes the third time is indeed a charm – and that this year, they receive the coveted award.

The winner will be announced Nov. 17 at the 30th Annual Small Business Awards Banquet at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott.

Goertz said they are proud to be a part of The Woodlands community.

"It is important to us that we work hard and give back to our community through service hours, serving on boards, and financial donations to nonprofits," she said. "We feel it's our corporate responsibility to give back to the community we live in."
