MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On August 5, 2019, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office held a ceremony recognizing and honoring Grant Brown. Mr. Brown, a citizen of Montgomery County, was recognized by Sheriff Rand Henderson for his heroic and selfless acts displayed on July 21, 2019. At great personal risk, Mr. Brown intervened when a vicious dog attacked a child. The recognition ceremony was attended by friends and family of Mr. Brown, multiple members of the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office command staff, and Officer James Lindeman, a Conroe Police Officer and father of the child Mr. Brown came to the rescue of.

Sheriff Rand Henderson stated that 'Without hesitation or thought of his own safety, Mr. Brown came to the child's aid and prevented the child from incurring any further injuries. The heroic and selfless acts displayed by Mr. Brown are the type of citizen partnerships we need, and are thankful for. I am proud to honor Mr. Brown, and we arc so grateful of our citizens who get involved to make a difference in their community and the lives of others.'
