THE WOODLANDS, TX - Pictured is the 2019 Memorial Hermann In the Pink of Health Committee at the 19th annual In the Pink of Health luncheon raising awareness and funds to fight breast and ovarian cancers at their core – and to support all cancer survivors on their journey through free services like those at CANOPY Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center in Medical Plaza 1 (1120 Medical Plaza Drive, Suite 250). With the committee are Memorial Hermann The Woodlands VP and CMO Chris Langan, MD and VP and CFO Randy Reid.

Also pictured is Gabby the Great Dane with Montgomery Pet Partners and her handler Dean Nistetter rounding Administration at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center. Gabby is decked out in her pink pearls and pink collar in recognition of National Breast Cancer Month.

Did you know? Gabby is also a cancer survivor having fought sarcoma (a soft tissue cancer)! Additionally, many of our “volunteer” registered therapy dogs (and their handlers) not only visit hospital patients and staff, but they also make special visits to CANOPY Cancer Survivorship Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Medical Center in Medical Plaza 1 (1120 Medical Plaza Drive, Suite 250) to provide some pet therapy for cancer survivors as well.
