MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On February 3, 2020, deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the Subway restaurant located at 20310 US Highway 59 in New Caney, Texas in reference to a Credit/Debit Card Abuse. The victim informed deputies he purchased food using his debit card but forgot the card in the reader upon leaving the restaurant. Security footage from the restaurant shows the above-pictures suspects ordering food, and then apparently using the victim's debit card (which was still in the card reader) to pay. The suspects then pocketed the debit card and left.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office would like to advise the public that using a debit or credit card without the permission of the owner, regardless of the amount charged, is a crime called 'Debit/Credit Card Abuse'. This is a State Jail Felony that can carry a penalty of up to two years jail time and fines up to $10,000.

If you have any information regarding the identity of the individuals, please contact the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office at 936-760-5800 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP and refer to Case # 20A041305.
