Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Locates and Arrests Robbery Suspect of a Walgreens in Magnolia

MAGNOLIA, TX -- On April 30, 2020, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were dispatched to the Walgreens Pharmacy located in the 6700 block of FM 1488 in Magnolia in reference to an aggravated robbery. Deputies arrived on scene and learned that a white male entered the store, pointed a firearm at the employees, and demanded that they give narcotic medications. The clerks complied with the male’s demands and he fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of drugs. During the initial scene investigation, the Deputies located video from a nearby business that showed the suspect enter the Walgreens parking lot in a white colored Chevrolet Silverado 2500, and then leave in that vehicle after the robbery. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide-Violent Crimes Unit along with MCSO Crime Scene Investigators responded to process and investigate the scene. Latent prints were located at the scene which led to the identification of the suspect as 32 year old Joseph Taylor Emmons of Conroe, Texas. Homicide-Violent Crimes Unit Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Emmons, and tracked him (and the white Silverado to a body in Conroe. Emmons was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail for Aggravated Robbery with a $70,000.00 dollar bond.
