Shooting at Shanahan's Bar

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On 11/07/2020 at approximately 12:05 AM the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a shooting in the parking lot of Shanahan’s Bar, located in the 18000 block of SH 105 W in Montgomery, Texas. Montgomery Police Department arrived on scene first and began treating the victim until Montgomery County Hospital District Medics arrived. The victim, 25 year old Roland “Cody” Hutton of La Porte, Texas, was transported to Conroe Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide-Violent Crimes Unit, Crime Scene Unit, and District Attorney’s Office responded to the scene and the investigation is on-going.

The suspect in this homicide was described by witnesses as a white male wearing a pink plaid fishing shirt (similar to Magellan brands), shorts, and a trucker-style ball cap. The suspect fled the scene westbound on Highway 105 in an early 2000 model blue Dodge Ram pickup. Witnesses indicate that the truck had a motorcycle or dirt bike in the bed along with miscellaneous scrap metal. The motorcycle was missing both wheels.
