THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Fashion, wine, and art were the central themes Thursday night at the Glade Gallery located off Woodlands Parkway. A wine & fashion show featuring apparel from Tittimitti showcased a variety of clothing brands only found in Italy. The show also included items from local tailors, Larisa Silveria and Anne Gitlina. In addition to the sublime clothing, wine connoisseurs from around the Houston area partook in the event by sharing some of their most exuberant Italian wines. Some of the wines featured were Argiano Vigna Del Suolo 2016 and Chateau Promeaux Pomerol 2002. Anna Pavlovna would have been proud of this event.

Tittimitti is an Italian boutique in the Woodlands Mall. A few of the brands featured are EGi, MaRe and Free Spirit.

Larisa Silveria has been working on crochet since she was a young girl in Russia. Through her countless hours of crocheting, she found it to be a great stress reliever. From this revelation, Larisa, for the past three years has been teaching crochet in which she calls “Yarn Crafting Therapy”. Many of Larisa’s best crochet clothing were shown off during the fashion show.

Anne Gitlina is a relatively new resident of the Houston area. She previously spent most of her life back in Russia as a seamstress. For the show, Anne showed off her dazzling broches. The broches had many different design concepts, ranging from animals like hummingbirds and flamingos. When asked about how Anne gets the ideas for these broches, she said they just come to her. An example of this was a flamingo she had created after having the idea upon waking up one night.

The event featured an assortment of Italian wines to taste and purchase. The men running this portion of the exhibit were wine specialist Carlos Flores, David Mayfield, and Doug Campbell. Their knowledge of wine made for exceptional conversations with many of the guests over what they were drinking. Doug Campbell said, “It takes a lot of beer to make good wine.”

The Glade Gallery is the first fine arts gallery in The Woodlands. The owner, Dragus Tapu, wanted to bring more culture and life to The Woodlands through the fine arts. “Glade Arts Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing a unique and accessible fine arts experience with programs focused on art education, scholarships, community based public art projects, and a curated museum-like exhibit center showcasing local and international artists as well as acclaimed private and public art collections.”
