Montgomery County Food Bank Event Raises Over 600,000 Meals for the Community

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- Montgomery County Food Bank (MCFB) held its 9th annual Shootout Hunger sporting clays tournament on September 10, 2021 at Blackwood Gun Club in Conroe, TX. Presented by Cowboy Kia, the event exceeded expectations by raising a total of $123,950 which will provide 619,750 meals for hungry children, families and seniors in Montgomery County. Every dollar raised provides five meals for those in need.

Thirty-eight teams, including over 150 shooters, participated in the tournament to benefit the food bank and the tens of thousands of people MCFB serves monthly. Top sponsors included Cowboy Kia, Southwestern Energy, Woodforest National Bank and Quality Home Products of Texas. The event also featured a live auction, raffle and trophy ceremony.
