MONTGOMERY, TX -- In the early morning hours of January 13, 2022, a Chevrolet Silverado pickup was stolen from the 19700 block of HWY 105 W in Montgomery, Texas. Due to real-time updates of the vehicle’s location via On-Star, a joint investigation between the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Auto Theft Task Force and the Department of Public Safety immediately began.

The joint investigation led law enforcement into Harris County, where the owner’s vehicle was located, and two Hispanic males fled the scene of the stolen truck. As a result of the investigation, the two Hispanic males, identified as Oliver Evora-Guerrero and Christian Chavez, were arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where they were charged with Theft.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the Department of Public Safety for their assistance in the investigation. The Montgomery County Auto Theft Task Force is funded and trained, in part, by a grant from the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority.
