HS Baseball: The Woodlands Secures Second District Win

THE WOODLANDS, TX –- For the second game of the week The Woodlands Highlanders matched up with the Oak Ridge War Eagles at Oak Ridge High School. Both teams were coming off huge wins; The Woodlands defeated Willis and Oak Ridge defeated the strong Conroe team on the road. Baseball brings some of the best weather to be outside and today was no different. With a slight breeze and no clouds in the sky, the weather was nearly perfect for this second game of the district play.

In their match up The Woodlands was able to hit eight and bring in six innings. The game was tied up after the fourth inning but The Woodlands rallied and brought in another three to ultimately give them their final score. Oak Ridge was able to bring in three runners but it wasn’t enough to hold off the strong Woodlands team. Oak Ridge falls to The Woodlands 6-3. They will match up again in April.
