THE WOODLANDS, TX -- You could say the day “went to the dogs” as Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum (CWJF) members held a Westminster Dog Show inspired luncheon to welcome the new Executive Board for 2022-2023. The venue, Hochzeit Hall, in Old Town Spring was decorated with a green show ring, photos of dogs, and trophies were awarded in this lighthearted way of installing the new board as “Best in Show,” while also saying good-bye to the outgoing board and President.

“All of our members showed up prettier than a speckled pup,” joked Betsy Meyer, outgoing President, “the ladies could not stop laughing as we welcomed incoming President, Kathy Huse and her new Executive board with a” Best in Show” themed skit.” The dog show concept evolved from Huse’s love of animals.

In addition to installing the board, the new provisional class of 2022 was introduced to the membership. Sue Ann Ramos will be heading up this class of 23 ladies.
Longtime member, Diane Marson was recognized for 10 years of service in producing the internal newsletter and a special volunteer recognition award was created and named appropriately, the Diane Marson Volunteer Award.

Fundraising chair, Jaclyn Macbeth was also recognized for her successful virtual fundraising event and over 1000 volunteer hours.

CWJF looks forward to celebrating their 40th year, helping North Houston and surrounding areas with their volunteer needs and High School Scholarships.
