THE WOODLANDS, TX -- FORUM FRIENDS, organized and facilitated by CWJF members, provides large groups of senior citizens a monthly opportunity to develop and nurture friendships through fellowship. This program meets in three local churches and an apartment complex with CWJF members providing entertainment, bingo, and snacks.

Forum Friends reaches into the community

Our CWJF members hosted 20 seniors at the Harvestwood Senior Apartments for the first time since the pandemic hit last year. Like all organizations who serve the senior community, changes were made to keep everyone healthy and wise. Unfortunately, that meant cancelling visits to senior facilities for the past 18 months.

The seniors enjoyed the Fall decorations and a bountiful lunch provided by the Panther Creek Village Association.

CWJF also provided the musical group Jose & Tino as entertainment as well as a few games of bingo and donated prizes. As you can imagine the sense of normalcy coupled with our smiling volunteers made this program a huge success for our Harvestwood Seniors!

Cypress-Woodlands Junior Forum is an organization of women dedicated to providing volunteer services, leadership and philanthropy to enrich the communities in North Harris and South Montgomery Counties. CWJF partners with agencies, schools, and corporations to fulfill identified needs in education, interaction with an aging population and support for people with disabilities.

CWJF is a 501c(3) non-profit assistance organization and a recognized chapter of Junior Forum, Inc. Since 1982, CWJF has been welcoming new members interested in serving the community with other like-minded women with a heart for service.
