Montgomery County Sheriff Detectives Arrest Precious Metal Thief

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- On July 26, 2022, Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, upon completing a theft of precious metals (air conditioners) investigation, served an arrest warrant for 30-year-old Justin Johnson at a local hotel in Porter, Texas. Detectives, believing Johnson is also a suspect in numerous copper thefts from construction sites in the area, executed a search warrant at his motel room as well. This investigation is ongoing.

Johnson was transported to the Montgomery County Jail, where he was booked on an arrest warrant for Theft of Precious Metals and was also charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance.
