Montgomery County Sheriff's Office Identifies Found Body in Porter, Seeks Public's Help

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX -- UPDATE: On Friday, August 5, 2022, Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide/Violent Crimes Unit were able to positively identify the victim in the homicide that occurred on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022. The male has been identified as 24-year-old Marbin Alexi Sanches Castillo (DOB: 07/01/1998), who is from Honduras.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have known Marbin Castillo, or may have information about this incident, to contact the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office at 936-760-5800 or Multi-County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392-STOP (7867) and refer to case #22A232920.


On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at about 8:30 PM, Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a dead body in the 26000 block of Sorters Road in Porter, Texas. Deputies arrived and discovered an unidentified deceased male in a nearby sandlot.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Homicide/Violent Crimes Unit and Investigators with the Crime Scene Unit responded.

The circumstances surrounding the death are under investigation, and no further information can be released.
