Battle of the Oaks - Girls
Grand Oaks and Oak Ridge faced each other at the CISD Natatorium on Monday Night. Grand Oaks started off strong, being aggressive and cutting through the Oak Ridge defense. In the 3rd quarter, Grand Oaks wasn’t able to penetrate the Oak Ridge defense and goes scoreless. Although Oak Ridge picked up the momentum towards the end of the match, it was too late as Grand Oaks took the win, 17-11.




Battle of the Oaks - Boys
Grand Oaks strikes first but Oak Ridge quickly ties it up. With the game going point for point the aggression and momentum benefited both sides. Each team’s defense was on point and didn’t allow many shots on goal. Overall, there were five ties throughout the match but Oak Ridge was able to pull away and eventually take the match 14-13.




War of the Woods - Girls
The girls hit the water and from the beginning it was all The Woodlands. College Park struggled with The Woodlands defense close to the net as well as possessing the ball. The Woodlands covered the passing lanes and created many turnovers which resulted in conversions at the other end. The Woodlands takes the win, 16-3 and would continue to go undefeated with a 5-0 record.




War of the Woods - Boys
This was an absolute war between The Woodlands and College Park. They would go point for point throughout the entirety of the match. With each defense on point and attacks being stopped The Woodlands would finally make the first points with seconds left in the first quarter. The back and forward match would last the entire match and force an overtime. But it would be The Woodlands that would edge out College Park in the end, 10-8.
