CONROE, TX -- College Park traveled to Conroe Thursday night for a must win matchup for both teams. Conroe needs this victory and a Willis loss to be in a playoff spot. College Park also needs a Willis loss but a victory of 22-points or more against Conroe.

Right off the bat Conroe drove down the field and set off to an early lead in their first possession. With the momentum set, College Park took over and had their chance to move the ball down the field. Carter Deering would make a one-handed grab to put College Park on the board. With both extra attempts blocked the game was tied 6-6.

A couple of turnover on downs later, Hatchett was able to find Williams for a 70-yard touchdown which gave the Tigers the lead against the Cavaliers.

After a bad snap, College Park couldn’t get a punt off deep in their territory which gave Conroe the ball on the 4-yard line. On their first possession after the turnover, Conroe would score again with a trick play.

Before the half Williams would once again cross the goal line to give Conroe the demanding lead. College Park would make one last attempt to put more points on the board but fell short with a couple of incomplete passes. Conroe would lead 24-6 going into halftime.

In the second half Conroe would command the field posting up another 22 points against College Park. This was a must win for Conroe as they now wait for Willis and Oak Ridge to finish their game on Friday. The outcome could help Conroe become the 4th seat in the 13-6A playoffs.
