THE WOODLANDS, TX - The Grogan's Mill Village Association (GMVA) recently made a $2,000 donation to Aging in Place - The Woodlands. The mission of the association is to serve as a liaison to the residents of Grogan's Mill Village and The Woodlands Township and other governmental entities for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the Village of Grogan's Mill.

At a recent presentation, GMVA President Aaron Hoffstadter presented Aging in Place founder Bruce Cunningham a check so that the organization could continue its efforts.

Aging In Place - The Woodlands was founded by the GMVA in 2016. The organization is founded on the principle of 'neighbors helping neighbors' with the objective of helping people live in their homes for longer periods of time. It is one of more than 200 organizations in the country associated with the Village to Village Network. It provides transportation services, help with minor home repairs and upkeep, and information that can help seniors find the services they need. In 2017, the organization expanded to the rest of the Woodlands. Aging in Place has monthly socials including lunches and visits to the CW Mitchell Pavilion. It publishes a monthly newsletter and has an extensive list of services provided to seniors.

AIP is always looking for new members that include those people who need services and those who would like to help by providing services such as drivers, handymen, and call managers who coordinate activities. To find out more, call 281-845-4441 or visit their website at aiptwtx.org.
