THE WOODLANDS, TX -- Severe weather affected parts of The Woodlands and surrounding areas today. Staying weather-aware and prepared for anything is paramount. With hurricane season quickly approaching, it's crucial for residents to be proactive and informed about severe weather events. Please see the updates below regarding storm-related impacts and next steps.

Electricity
This afternoon's severe weather impacted CenterPoint power lines. Please be patient as crews work to restore service. Monitor power outages in your area by signing up for CenterPoint's Power Alert Service.

Fallen Trees
Please report fallen trees that are blocking roadways to Montgomery or Harris County.

Residents may report fallen trees from Township property onto private property through the 311 web portal, by emailing 311@thewoodlandstownship-tx.gov or by calling 281-210-3800.

Transportation Updates: The Woodlands Express
Due to storms in recent weeks, stops along The Woodlands Express are affected as follows through Friday, May 31, 2024:

Downtown PM Stops

  • CLOSED - Travis St - proceed to Louisiana
  • OPEN - Louisiana @ St. Joseph's Pkwy
  • CLOSED - Louisiana @ Pease @ Bell @ Polk so for all three proceed to St Joseph’s Pkwy
  • CLOSED - Louisiana @ Lamar @ Walker so for both proceed to Capital
  • OPEN - Louisiana @ Capital
  • OPEN - Louisiana @ Prairie

Tree and Yard Debris
Waste Management will collect yard debris and bulky items in accordance with their operating guidelines. If, for some reason, your trash and yard waste were not picked up, please report the missed pickup directly to Waste Management by phone at 800-800-5804 or by email at cssatex@wm.com.
