Canopy Highlights
23rd Annual In the Pink of Health Luncheon
Today is the 23rd Annual In the Pink of Health Luncheon. Canopy is immensely thankful to In the Pink of Health for their unwavering support of Canopy from the moment a local cancer survivorship center was simply a dream. With the help of In the Pink, generous donors and so many in our incredible community, Canopy is able to provide nearly 1000 guest encounters each month to those affected by cancer. In commemoration of this special day, Canopy is sharing last year's 2022 committee photo as a token of appreciation. We look forward to sharing photos from our 2023 event. Canopy thanks the Committee for their efforts, and attendees for their generosity in supporting the many organizations impacted by funds raised today, including our very own, Canopy.
Memorial Hermann Spreads Awareness at United Airlines Health & Safety Fair
Multiple departments within Memorial Hermann, shared helpful health information with airline and airport employees, as well as individuals traveling to and from the busy George Bush International Airport on September 13th. Canopy Program Manager, Marcella Herrera, and Oncology Nurse Navigator, Shernette Sherrill, spread awareness of Canopy and the importance of cancer survivorship alongside the Northeast Cancer Center team. "If we touch just one person in need of survivorship support and resources, our entire day attending this event is well worth it", says Marcella Herrera. Throughout the day, many individuals revealed how cancer has affected themselves or their families. Our team at Canopy is so thankful to be a part of the Memorial Hermann Health System dedicated to proudly serving and caring for our community.
