Get your Boots on – Tachus is Heading to the Rodeo!

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo is here once again, and Tachus is honored to be sponsoring 2024’s Boot Row.
Located between NRG Stadium and the Champion Wine Garden, Boot Row is an iconic yearly display of some of the most beautiful art local Texans have to offer.
Featuring 15 painted boots each standing 7 feet tall, the artwork depicts the widespread beauty of Texas, detailing its natural landscapes and diverse cultures.
This year, Tachus’ boot was painted by Amanda Gandry, an artist from Victoria, Texas. Amanda fostered her prowess in art while attending Houston Baptist University and now calls Houston home.
We caught up with Amanda to talk about her experience working with the Rodeo as an artist:
“This will be my second year on the Western Art Committee. Being an artist, I wanted to use my talents in some way I could be helpful, which was a main draw to join the committee.
I really enjoy the energy the Rodeo brings to the city. I always turn on country music starting in February because I love to get the spirit going.
My son and I love going to the carnival. And I have a lot of memories with friends, going to the concerts, the arena, checking out the shops. It brings a lot of fond memories, from my childhood to adult life, having kids, and experiencing the rodeo in different seasons of life.”
