Spring Reset: Reconnect
Dear friend,
If you were on the internet in the early 2000s, you probably remember a few things:
- Dial-up sounds
- AIM away messages
- And the moment when your computer had way too many tabs open and everything started… buffering
Sometimes life can feel like that now, just constant input from every direction.
Your nervous system ends up doing the same thing an overloaded computer does:
Running too many programs at once. Buffering……
Shoulders creep up toward your ears. Your mind jumps from one thought to the next. Even when you try to relax, your brain is still running in the background.
Spring is usually when we start cleaning out closets, opening windows, and letting fresh air in. But sometimes the thing that needs a reset the most…is your nervous system that is trying to keep up with the internet.
That's what this month at Blissful Waters is all about. Spring Reset.
One of the most powerful tools for that is float therapy.
During a float, your body rests effortlessly in warm water saturated with Epsom salt while the environment around you becomes free from stimulation. Which can lower stress levels, decrease anxiety, and allow the nervous system to shift from sympathetic “fight-or-flight” mode into parasympathetic “rest-and-digest” mode.
For others, the reset might look different.
You may prefer contrast therapy, where the infrared sauna, cold plunge, and red light therapy work together to support circulation, recovery, and nervous system resilience. Alternating heat and cold exposure has been shown to stimulate blood flow and help the body adapt to stress more effectively.
Others start with a Bliss Stack session in our frequency room or post float lounge.
Tools like BrainTap use guided audio and light to help guide the brain toward slower wave states associated with deep relaxation and meditation. Many people use it before a float or after a stressful week when their mind feels like it just won't slow down.
None of these experiences are about escaping life, they're about creating space inside it (but it can be about escaping the internet), and a space where your body can exhale. Where your nervous system isn't constantly reacting, a place where you can reconnect with yourself without a dozen distractions competing for attention.
And after your session, many guests spend a few quiet minutes in our post-float lounge sipping tea, journaling, or simply enjoying the feeling of being a little more present than when they arrived.
Think of it like this:
Early internet culture had a simple solution when things got overwhelming. You logged off for a while.
This spring, we're reminding you to do the same. Even if it's just for an hour. Close the tabs, log out of the noise, and let your nervous system reset.
