THE WOODLANDS, Texas-- The Woodlands College Park Cavaliers are in the District 15-6A, and after two wins in a row to Aldine Davis, and Aldine MacArthur they are looking for a strong start as they play cross-town rival Conroe Tigers. Going into the season Lonnie Madison and his Cavaliers are looking to rewrite they're last four years. Cavalier football is seeing their best start in a long time and will be taking on the Conroe Tigers at Buddy Moorhead Stadium on September 14th at 7:00 p.m.

After their 31-0 victory over Aldine Davis, and their 42-20 victory against Aldine MacArthur the Cavaliers are looking stronger than ever. Going into the season with two wins in a row, Lonnie Madison and his Cavs seem to be stirring the CISD already. Putting a bullseye on their heads, the Cavaliers start the season 2-0 and look to finish out the rest of the season with nothing but positivity. Coach Lonnie Madison's first season with the Cavaliers ended 1-9, but starting out 2-0 shows dramatic changes in the offseason. Notable players to keep an eye on for the Cavaliers, Peyton Sobosle (Tight End) UTSA commit, Josh Bankhead (Tackle) Texas A&M commit, Tyler Givens (Wide Receiver), Aaron Randle (Running Back), Casen Holden (Line Backer) Alex Leal (Running Back), Joshua Blackburn (Offensive Line) Andres Espinola (Defensive Line) Cameron Mohr (Kicker), QuaJon Charles (Running back) and Jake Hunnicutt (Quarterback).

2017 season the Conroe Tigers finished 1-9, with the new Nike Deal to Buddy Moorehead Stadium and coaching change to Cedric Hardeman, the Conroe Tigers are currently 1-1. Losing to Benjamin Davis 25-24, the Tigers look to continue their success and prove that the one point lose versus Benjamin Davis was something to write off. Protecting the home field will be the story for Conroe this season, as this game will take grounds in their backyard, with a new culture revamp.

Notable players to keep an eye on from the Tigers are De’Ondra Lewis (Kick Returner), Josue Santos (Kicker), Christian Pack (Quarterback), Michael Phoenix (Wide Receiver) Coco Sneed (Defensive Back) and Dakerric Hobbs (Defensive Back) and Jay Smith (Quarterback).
